Wages determinate on experience, $4000 sign on bonus. (12 hour shifts)

What you will be doing:

As a nurse, you will be providing care for a geriatric population in need of your support. Care is indivualized for each patient according to a care plan and includes passing out medications (usually with the assistance of a med aid), performing assessments, and doing rounds. Nurses are also managers of their care giving team and assign tasks as appropriate, assisting where necessary. Nurses are also advocates for their residents and will ensure all care provided by their team is being done with patient positive outcomes in mind.

 

Where will you be doing it at:

Meadow Park Skilled Nursing in St. Helens is an important community in the hearth care industry. As the only Oregon skilled nursing home servicing people to the north of the Portland metropolis, Meadow Park allows people struck by unexpected health care needs to remain in their community and close to friends and family. We are a 42 patient building that has maintained a high standard of care for years and which works closely with the Veteran's Association, OHSU, and Legacy Emanuel and Good Sam hospitals.

 

Who you will be doing it with:

you will be working with a passionate team of caregivers, some yougn and some very experienced. Your director of nursing is Linda Wines, a powerful advocate for patient care and a strong team member who spends more time on the floor than any DNS you'll ever meet. Your admin is Jonathan Start, who comes  from a background of patient and employee advocacy and is very involved in day-to-day operations. Your entire management team is extremely supportive and will ensure you have good training and good support afterwards.

 

Required Experince:

Education: Licensed in the State of Oregon as an RN.

Experience: Experience in giving medications to a large group of residents.

Skills, Knowledge and Abilities: Able to use necessary supplies and equipment (feeding pumps, oxygen, treatment trays, medication cart, etc.). Able to calculate drug dosage. Meets all health requirements imposed by law. Ability to relate positively, effectively, and appropriately with residents, families, community members, volunteers and other center staff. Able to read, write, speak and understand English. Demonstrates basic computer knowledge and ability with an aptitude to learn company applications.

 

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time.

Salary: $50,000.00 to $75,000.00 a year.
