Located in beautiful Olympia, our facility is located across the street from Capital Medical Center and just a short commute from Lacey, Tumwater, Shelton, and Tacoma. The 108 bed facility offers a full continuum of services and care focused around each individual resident in today's ever-changing healthcare environment. Our facility is Medicare and Medicaid certified.

Position Summary

The Certified Dietary Manager is responsible for compliance with all aspects of the Nutrition Services Department including code compliance, sanitation and infection control, meal preparation and service, dining experience, purchasing systems, budgetary performance, and residents' nutritional status. Evaluates and directs plans for improvement in each aspect. Assists in planning, organizing, and enforcing systems to meet facility standards. Follows all facility policies and procedures.

Reporting Relationships

Oversees all kitchen staff. 

Minimum Qualifications

*Currently possesses an unencumbered license to practice as a Certified Dietary Manager in the state of Washington.

*Able to taste and smell food to determine quality and palatability.

*Able to relate positively, effectively, and appropriately with residents, families, community members, volunteers, and other center staff.

*Possess special interest in, and a positive attitude about, working with long-term care residents and the elderly.

*Able to read, write, speak, and understand English.

*Meets all health requirements, as required by law.

*Demonstrates basic computer knowledge and ability with an aptitude to learn company applications.
